My Activity Report Overview

Introduction to the My Activity Report

My Activity is the default homepage when you access the app. All app users can view their personal activity report and adjust its settings.

  1. Reported Activities: Clicking this opens a configuration modal to manage default activities (all enabled by default) and add custom activities.

  2. Report Filters: Refine results using filters such as Project, Sprint, Epic, Work Types, or custom JQL queries.

  3. Report Date Range: Select from preset periods or define a custom date range for your report.

  4. Print and Refresh settings: Use the refresh option to clear the report cache and reload the latest data.

  5. Trendline: Displays the overall trend of user activity over the selected period.

  6. Total Reported Actions: Shows the total number of actions captured in the report.

  7. Color Customization: Select from 10 preset color palettes to personalize the report’s appearance.

  8. Activity bars: Visualize activities from the heatmap as a percentage of total activity. You can toggle all activities on or off, or hide only certain activities as needed.

  9. Table Data Breakdown: Lists daily activities in a tabular format. Supports filtering and direct navigation to work items.

Reports only display data for existing Jira issues. Deleting an issue removes all its historical activities from the report.

In the Heatmap overview, a selection marker (dot) identifies which day's data is currently loaded in the Table Data Breakdown.

When you hover over the heatmap cells, a tooltip appears providing additional info:

  • Date information (e.g., Mon, 10 Nov 2025).

  • A list of event types and their counts.

Important Note on Data Synchronization for the current day/hour:

Data is refreshed at different rates depending on the view:

  • Heatmap/Line Overview: Aggregated values are updated hourly. Recent actions may not appear immediately in the chart.

  • Table View: The Data Breakdown list reflects real-time data. Refer to this view for the most up-to-date activity log.

Table Data Breakdown

By default, the table displays activities for the current day (or hour). For custom date ranges, it automatically shows the latest date that contains activity. When you select any other heatmap cell, the table refreshes to show that day’s activities.

You can edit the table view by selecting which of the available columns to display. You can also open any work item in Jira issue view by clicking its issue key.

The following controls are available to refine the table data:

  • Date Navigation - Shift the table view to the previous/next date, or navigate directly to the first/last active date within the reporting range (1).

  • Hour Filter - Narrow the results to activities that occurred by hour of the day (2).

  • Column Filters – Apply filters to individual columns. Some columns support single-select filters, while others allow free-text search (3).

  • Reset Filters – Clear all applied filters (4).

  • Rows per Page – Configure the max number of activity records per page in the table (5).

Sharing the My Activity Report

The My Activity report operates dynamically based on the current viewer. When added to a shared dashboard, the report does not display the dashboard owner's data. Instead, it functions similarly to the JQL query assignee = currentUser(), so each user viewing the gadget sees their personal activity.
