Most/Least Active Users
Overview
These reports are visible only to User Activity app administrators and include all users within your instance.
Under the “More” section of the app menu, you can access two pre-built reports that list users by their activity. These reports allow you to quickly identify the most and least active users during a selected time period in your Jira instance.
The activity ranking is based on work item activity tracked in Jira by the app and does not include system-level events.
Adjust the reporting period to view activity for the past 7 days, 30 days, 60 days, 6 months, 12 months, or a custom range.
Activity tracking for these reports begins from the date the app was installed. Date range options are available only when data exists for that period.
Example: The "Past 6 months" and “Past 12 months” options will not be available if the app was installed only 3 months ago.
Data is retained only up to the limit configured in the app settings (maximum 365 days).
Most Active Users
This report lists users by their average activity during the selected period in descending order (from highest to lowest).
Least Active Users
This report orders users by their average activity during the selected period in ascending order (from lowest to highest). It also includes a separate list of users with no work item activity.
Navigation to User Details
Click a user's name in the list to view their detailed activity report:
Activity totals are based on Jira work item-level activity tracked by the app. Some activity details may not be visible if your Jira permissions restrict access to the associated issues, projects, or comments.
Permission Warning
If you encounter this warning, it indicates that your permissions have been changed to the User level. As a User, you no longer have access to the full Settings section, Most/Least Active Users, or System Reports.
Reset Most / Least Active Users Data
If spaces have been disabled and then re-enabled in the app’s Data settings, the Most and Least active reports may become inaccurate. In such cases, we recommend using the Reset data option from the top-right menu.
When you click Reset data, a confirmation dialog will appear. This action will clear all previously collected data for both the Most Active and the Least Active report, and the available date range will be reset. The reports will then start collecting new data from the moment of the reset onward.
