Data settings

Use the Data settings section to manage spaces processing:

Data-settings.png

This section lets app administrators control which spaces are included in activity reports, check the start date for space data processing, and view the current processing status for each space:

  • On/Off column: allows you to enable or disable spaces for data processing. When a space is disabled, no data will be collected or shown in reports.

  • Space column: shows an alphabetically ordered list of the spaces available for processing.

  • Status column: shows the processing progress for each project

Status

Status

1

Pending

The 'Processing' hasn’t started yet. Pending on a queue of spaces, processed sequentially. Priority is determined by the most recent update of work items within a space.

The app checks for spaces in ‘Pending’ status each hour and determines if the 'Processing' may start.

2

Processing

Processing work item history, starting from the most recently updated. System limitations and a high number of work items may slow down the job by a few hours.

3

Clearing

Deletes data for events, related to the space. Only disabled spaces can be cleared.

4

Complete

History processing is completed. There are no gaps in data and the spaces, which have existed before the app’s installation, have been processed.

5

Max out

History processing is partially completed. The space has too many work items (above 10 000). The most recently updated 10 000 work items have been processed.

6

Partial

  1. If space was disabled for any period of time. Due to potentially missed activities during that period, it is marked as ‘Partial'. It will return to 'Complete’ status if stays uninterrupted for the ‘Days history’ period.

  2. If an error occurred during 'Clearing'.

7

Failed

If the space ‘Processing’ failed for any reason, the status is changed to ‘Failed' and has the lowest priority. When all ‘Pending’ spaces have finished ‘Processing’, the failed space will be retried up to 3 times, once each hour ('Clearing' or ‘Re-processing’ dispatches may cause a retry not to run in the same hour as them and in result the retries may span more than 3 hours).

If the status is still ‘Failed’ after these 3 retries, we again try to process it, but now once every day, up to 3 more times. If it still fails, the project is considered 'Aborted'.

At each stage ‘Partial’ data may be available.

8

Aborted

Failed to be processed after 6 retries. Partial data may be available. Please reach our support team if a space falls into this status.

9

None

  1. Space was in status ‘Pending’ and was manually stopped or disabled.

  2. Successfully cleared.

10

Stopping

Processing stop has been manually requested. The space will move to status ‘Partial', unless it’s already in the final stages of processing, where it will move to 'Complete'.

  • Actions column:

Stop Processing

Available to use when a space is in: ‘Pending’, ‘Processing’ or ‘Failed’.

Clear History

Available to use when the space is disabled (switched off) and the status is in: ‘Complete', ‘Partial’, ‘Aborted’ or 'Failed’.
