Average Time in Status by Issue Type
Shows the average time issues spend in (open) statuses, categorized by issue type, to help teams identify delays and improve resolution times
Step 1: Add a data source filtering issues from the project and time period you wish to analyze. In our sample, it’s past 90 days.
Step 2: Select the ‘Time in Status’ metric and choose statuses representing open issues, such as To Do, In Progress, Review, Testing, etc.
Step 3: Switch from sum to average calculation.
Step 4: Display by ‘Issue Type’.
Step 5: Group by ‘Status (history)’ field.
Use the ‘Status (history)’ dynamic field here for accurate data, as it displays the metric based on the historical statuses over the defined period. The system field ‘Status’ would not return correct data in this report, as it indicates the current status of the filtered issues.
