Bounce Back Issues Report
Step 1: In the data source, filter for issues that were in status 'In progress' for a time period you wish to analyze. Add a JQL query to filter issues that transitioned from later stages of the workflow back to “In progress”.
Step 2: Keep the default metric selection as ‘Number of issues’.
Step 3: Display by the ‘Issue Type’ field.
Step 4: Stack by the ‘Cycles in Status’ metric, specify the status as “In Progress,” and create custom distribution slots, as shown in detail on the image below.

Keep in mind that ‘Cycles in status’ metric tracks how many times an issue has gone through the "In Progress" status, including the first time it enters that status, rather than just subsequent cycles or transitions.
