Cycles in Status vs Time in Status Report

Cycles in Status vs Time in Status Report

This report, presented through a Multi-Metric Combined Gadget, compares the number of cycles an issue has gone through in various statuses with the average time spent in those statuses. It displays averages for both metrics, offering a comprehensive view of how often issues transition between statuses and how long they remain in each, helping to identify process bottlenecks.

The gadget used for this report is the Multi Metric Combined Chart gadget.

Step 1: Add a data source.

Step 2: Add two metrics and apply average calculation to both:

  • Cycles in Status: Waiting for Support (or any other relevant) - left scale position, bars

  • Time in Status: Waiting for Support (or any other) - right scale position, trend line

Step 3: Display by ‘Created’ by Week.

As a best practice, it is advisable to align metrics of the same type to the same side of the chart. In our case we have added a time metric on the left and a number metric on the right.
